Even though you get two payments in May, you won’t get any in June. The May 30 payment is just the June check sent early. It may feel like a bonus now, but it’s not. So, don’t spend it all at once. You’ll need it for June.
Who Will Get Both Payments?
To get both payments, you must meet these rules:
- You must be getting SSI in both May and June
- You must have very low or no income
- Your resources must be under the limit:
- $2,000 for a single person
- $3,000 for a couple
- You must be a U.S. citizen or have approved immigration status
